Buffalo Cauliflower Wings

One of the first recipes I posted on For the Sake of Good Taste (and a personal all-time favourite) is this buffalo cauliflower sandwich. In a similar vein, I’m a huge fan of buffalo cauliflower wings.

I first made a version of these during my freshman year of college when a friend and I hosted a super bowl party for our larger friend group. I was hooked!

Since then, I’ve tried dozens of different recipes and adapted my own to come up with this one (though let’s be honest, I’ll almost definitely adapt it more!).  I’ve made it with fresh and frozen cauliflower florets, store-bought or homemade buffalo sauce, and with or without the crispy batter.

It’s delicious all of these ways!

Buffalo Cauliflower Wings

Buffalo cauliflower wings are perfect for game day and for every day!

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 40 minutes
Total Time 50 minutes

  • 1 head cauliflower

  • 2/3 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • dash hot sauce

Buffalo Sauce - I use the sauce from our Buffalo Cauliflower Sandwich (linked above!), or you can substitute a store-bought sauce or other favourite recipe

  1. Preheat oven to 450 F.

  2. Clean cauliflower and cut into florets.

  3. Combine batter ingredients.

  4. Evenly coat each floret and place on a baking sheet.

  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes until batter turns golden brown.

  6. Combine ingredients for buffalo sauce and coat battered & baked bites.

  7. Return bites to oven for 5-10 minutes or until crispy once again.

  1. Lol I always find it so funny calling cauliflower wings cause they’re not really wings but boy do I enjoy them! I’ve had them over at a friend’s house for a movie night before but I keep forgetting to look for a recipe to try them myself…bookmarking this!
